You can follow some of the things but never follow in general rather i would suggest to ask specific problems and get solutions as per vastu.
  1. Never have a toilet or kitchen in North East
  2. No red colour in North
  3. No blue colour in South
  4. No Green colour in West
  5. No Grey/yellow in East
  6. No green /brown in South west
  7. Keep a money plant in blue bottle in North direction it will increase the opportunities
  8. A Red bulb in South east can increase money flow.
  9. Never have a Granite in Kitchen
  10. A family photo should be hanged in South west
So these are some basics which can be done and will not create any problem, rest all Vastu should be precise and done as per ones need.
